This paper purpose is to analyse the trends in community psychology since the end of the Social Psychology "crisis". At this moment, the empirical-analytical experimental social psychologist was under criticism, in contrast to the community psychologist who employs qualitative methodologies. If the latter was convinced of his discipline’s object, the former, sensitive to the social, historical, anthropological and political aspects of the context, does not have a clear object to study. An analysis the theoretical and methodological foundations of actual practices, suggest the need to return to psychological questions, enriched by the social sciences contributions, in an attempt to define more precisely psychologist’s actions.
