Abstract

SILVA, Paulo Vinicius Baptista da  and  MORO, Maria Lucia Faria. The interaction of street teenagers with Logo language. Psicol. Reflex. Crit. [online]. 1998, vol.11, n.1, pp. 35-58. ISSN 0102-7972.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0102-79721998000100003.

This study describes teenagers’ behaviors related to "errors" and "successes" on Logo programming. Five subjects were randomly selected among teenagers of a special public institution in Curitiba, Brazil. They were 14 to 17 years old and attended the initial grades of elementary school. They worked with Logo language in individual sessions assisted by the researcher. The output was registered on disk. The individual verbal behavior after "errors" and "successes" were registered on video and described on different levels of qualitative analyses. The categories which were obtained indicated a changing process on notions and attitudes toward "errors" and a positive evaluation about themselves and their production.

Keywords : Street teenagers; Logo language; constructive error.
