Fundação Seade is responsible for the System of Vital Statistics of the State of São Paulo, based on the Monthly Survey of Vital Events. This information has been gathered since the end of the nineteenth century and contributes to a rich data archive that permits the monitoring of demographic variables, while helping to fund planning activities.
