The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the simultaneity of the urbanization and urban population concentration process in big metropolitan cities occurred in last century's second half in Brazil. As a result, will be analyzed the population redistribution process inside the metropolitan areas using the idea of poverty redistribution. In this paper Belo Horizonte's Metropolitan Area will be used as reference.
