Nowadays it is observed in the health area, the existence of many chronic illnesses that demand continuous treatments, that overload health public system with recurrent consultations and high medicine costs . In this context, the necessity of complementary and deeper understanding about the physical and mental chronic unbalance best handling emerges. It is important to point out, the psychosomatic medicine approach has considerably contributed to this advance. This approach includes a huge understanding about health and illness phenomenons, considering the human being in its completeness biopsychossocial dimensions, and also it looks up health professionals' interdisciplinary activity. This paper aim is to gather some psychosomatic approach information towards stress theory and the researches carried in the dermatology field that consider the psychosocial aspects influence in the skin illness process. Furthermore it is important to integrate this information, so that different treatment possibilities can be thought and discussed in order to contribute for chronic skin illnesses patients' life quality.
