Abstract

This paper pretends to to critically analyze the main moments of Freud’s work when there are textual references to Kant, in order to begin a comparative analysis between the concepts of both disciplines, as well as to indicate that there is a structural relation between Kant‘s philosophical positions and Freud’s epistemological thought applied to psychoanalysis as a practice related to the sciences of nature. With this in mind, it is argued that the criticism toward certain fundamental concepts of the Freudian psychoanalysis, while belonging to the framework of the Kantian philosophy, would be a necessary attitude for the development of the psychoanalytic psychology.
