ABSTRACT: The electrical conductivity of polystyrene/ polybutadiene (PS/PBD) and polystyrene/ styrene-butadiene block copolymer (PS/SB) blends containing extra-conductive carbon black has been investigated. PS/SB blends displayed lower percolation threshold than PS/PBD blends. Scanning electronic microscopy analysis indicated that the carbon black particles are agglomerated and do not form a continuous conducting pathway. Investigations concerning the polymerfiller physical interaction (bound rubber) suggest also a stronger adhesion between polymer and filler in the case of PS/PBD blends
