AGUERO, Oscar Alfredo. Sociedades indígenas, racismo y discriminación. Horiz. antropol. [online]. 2002, vol.8, n.18, pp.255-264. ISSN 0104-7183.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0104-71832002000200011.

This article examines the issue of racism and discrimination as impetrated by national Latin-American states toward indigenous societies. The starting point is a theoretical discussion regarding the concepts of race and globalization. The conclusion contends that the indigenous project is opposed to the dominant national project, once the indigenous project proposes a new form of multi ethnical and multi national politics.

Keywords : citizenship; discrimination; globalization; indigenous societes; racism; violence.
