These expeditions happened between 1768 and 1774 and were commanded by Alfonso Botelho de San Paio and Sousa, by order of D. Luís Antônio de Sousa Botelho Mourão - Morgado de Mateus -, General and Governing Captain of the captaincy of Sao Paulo between 1765 e1775.
