In the infantile population the diaper area is a location of several dermatoses, including diaper rash, a clinical picture of contact eczema due to primary irritation, caused by the presence of local irritating substances (urine and feces). It usually presents alterations of slight intensity. Jacquet's erythema, a rare and serious clinical form of diaper rash, is described.
