Abstract

CUNHA FILHO, Roberto Rheingantz da; SCHWARTZ, Joel  and  ZANOL, Jorge. "Algesiogenic" lichen aureus. An. Bras. Dermatol. [online]. 2006, vol.81, n.2, pp.163-165. ISSN 0365-0596.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0365-05962006000200008.

A case is described of lichen aureus in a 23 year old female with a 2-year history of painful, purpuric, rust-coloured to tan, lichenous lesion on forearm. A biopsy specimen demonstrated a dense lymphohistiocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis, with extravasation of red cells. The "algesiogenic" lichen aureus is a very rare dermatosis.
