OLIVEIRA, M. M. et al. Development of SnO2-based varistors for high voltage application. Cerâmica [online]. 2006, vol.52, n.323, pp. 149-154. ISSN 1678-4553.

SnO2-based varistor systems were prepared by conventional mixing in a ball mill. The samples were sintered at 1250 ºC for 2 h. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy results indicated that the system is single phase. High nonlinear coefficient values, which are characteristic of high-voltage and commercial ZnO varistors, were obtained for these SnO2-based systems. All the systems developed here have potentially promising varistor applications.

Keywords : varistor; sintering; electric characterization.
