FONSECA, Elda Bonilha Assis; CARVALHO, Janice Guedes de; PASQUAL, Moacir  e  CORREA, João Batista Donizeti. Concentration of micronutrients in sweet passion fruit seedlings as a function of liming. Ciênc. agrotec. [online]. 2005, vol.29, n.1, pp.43-51. ISSN 1413-7054.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S1413-70542005000100005.

A experiment was carried out with seedlings, in a greenhouse, aiming to study the effect of the liming on the nutrition of sweet passion fruit plants (Passiflora alata Curtis). The statistical design used was randomized blocks in  a  factorial  scheme  (2 x 4) + 2, with four replications. The treatments involved four base saturation levels (40, 60, 80 and 100%), two soil classes (Dystrophic Red-Yellow Latosol - LVAd and Dystrophic Red Latosol - LVd) and two more additional treatments, LVAd without liming and LVd without liming. After 150 days, the dry matter of shoots and the micronutrients contents in the shoots dry matter were evaluated. It was concluded that the increase of base saturation levels reduced the contents of Cu, Mn and Zn in the shoots dry matter for both soil classes. As for the content of B the increase of base saturation levels caused an increase of B in shoots dry matter in the LVd and did not change these contents in the LVAd. The presence of liming  on  LVAd  did not change the contents of micronutrients in the shoots dry matter. The presence of liming on LVd increased the contents of B and Cu, did not change the contents of Fe, and reduced the contents of Zn and Mn in dry matter of sweet passion fruit plants.

Palavras-chave : base saturation; passion fruit; Passiflora alata; latosol.
