The present articles discusses general aspects involved in the decision making-process of the new EU legal regulation on chemicals as well as the developed actions, the stakeholders' commitment, and the arising interests and conflicts. The main conclusions: this process was led by the institutional stakeholders, under a great influence of the chemical industry, however, it did not consider the contributions of citizens.
