The article presents a reflection on nursing care in post-modernity in a diversified theoretical reference. Initially, the objective was an approach on the issue of post-modernity as well as its general characterization; afterwards, a rescue of the historical and conceptual designs of nursing care, were made. Finally, the nursing care was specifically discussed in post-modernity, in a dialogue perspective, mentioning the new social demands. It is also stressed the need of effective nursing care guided by ethical and human values among the subjects involved in the practice marked by human meetings.
