What is the reason for the name I bear, when my cultures crumble?. The contemporary exercise of psychoanalysis with subjects that are at odds with history reveals the important effects of the destruction of the subjectivities in social and political contexts marked by the refusal of otherness, by exclusions and segregations. The symbolic value and the significant place of one's own name are attacked there, and the name may find itself reduced to an object.
