The authors underwent a review of psychodinamic psychotherapy in the treatment of anorexia nervosa e bulimia nervosa. First, they defined the conceptual framework of this therapeutical approach. Then, they described the indications and contraindications and, also they discussed the studies about the efficacy of this psychotherapeutic intervention on this syndromes. At last, they pointed out and discussed many psychotherapeutical technical aspects in the treatment of patients with eating disorders.
