The article briefly considers the concepts expressed in the title and, based on research results, focuses on mass media analysis as a causal variable in producing contemporary violence. Acknowledging the existence of close relations between media and violence, it stresses the plural character of the phenomenon and its causes, pointing out the risks of demonizing the role of the media by ascribing it the sole responsibility for generating and/or increasing violence.
