Mato Grosso do Sul is an important Brazilian tourism destination, especially with regard to its natural resources and strategic location. However, tourists who visit the local attractions are offered few opportunities to broaden their travel experiences. This work aims to demonstrate responsiveness to the creation of food festivals based on the lamb in major tourist cities in the state in order to examine the possibility of creating additional tourism products to existing foster local development. 342 questionnaires were applied in major tourist cities of Mato Grosso do Sul, so it was observed that, in general, is high receptivity to food festivals based on lamb meat.
