The problem that guided this text involved examining whether the expansion of political science in Brazil has been accompanied by market absorption of new PhDs trained in these institutions. Therefore, it focused on observing PhDs in political science who received their degrees from domestic graduate institutions between 1996 and 2014, looking at employment, income, sectors of professional activity and geographic circulation in relation to master's degrees/doctorates/employment.
