Abstract

ARAUJO, João Cesar Boreggio de; BORGES, Gláucia R.P.  and  DRIGO FILHO, Elso. Supersymmetry, variational method and Lennard-Jones (12,6) potential. Rev. Bras. Ensino Fís. [online]. 2006, vol.28, n.1, pp. 41-44. ISSN 1806-1117.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S1806-11172006000100006.

In this work a review of the supersymmetric quantum mechanics formalism combined with the variational method is done. This approach is useful in order to obtain numerical values for the energy eigenvalues from Schrödinger equation. As an example, the energy eigenvalues from the Lennard-Jones (12,6) potential are determined and the results are compared with other ones obtained from different methods.

Keywords : quantum mechanics; supersymmetry; variational method; Lennard-Jones potential.
