Resumen

RIBEIRO, Flávia Regina Guedes. Controversy as discursive practices: a rhetorical approach. Fractal, Rev. Psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.23, n.3, pp.557-578. ISSN 1984-0292.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S1984-02922011000300008.

The aim of this paper is to present some key analytical concepts for the realization of a rhetorical interpretation of empirical discourse. In this way, we present first the Constructionism as an epistemological way of support for the study of language in the construction of social facts; then we make an approach to different streams of discourse analysis and then discuss the approach to Discursive Psychology from the perspective of Discursive Practices; the notion of controversy is discussed in Part Four, along with the notion of strategic resources and, finally, we present an example of rhetorical analysis to illustrate the methodological discussion presented.

Palabras clave : Social Psychology; discursive practices; controversies; rhetoric.
