This article addresses the embodiment of gender and class, by analyzing a form of assault that involves face slashing among teenage women at public high schools across Argentina. Rather than explaining the meaning of such cruel acts, this is presented as an exhibition - both in the photographic sense and as a written claim submitted to an authority - alert to the subjective experience of pain by the victims.
