This study includes the species of Balanophoraceae recorded for the cangas of the Serra dos Carajás, Pará state, Brazil, and provides descriptions, illustrations, and morphological comments of the species in the study area. Two species are recorded Helosis cayennensis and Langsdorffia hypogaea, both widely distributed in the Neotropics.
