Twenty-three species are recorded, both native or established adventive, grouped in five genera: Cestrum, Hawkesiophyton, Physalis, Schwenckia, and Solanum. Nineteen of the described species belong to the hiperdiverse genus Solanum, most of them from open areas or forest edges, occasionally occurring in canga formations.
