OBJECTIVE: The aim of this paper is to draw attention to the organization of information available on exams and during orthodontic treatment in growing patients, which serve as guides for predicting the stage of pubertal growth spurt. CONCLUSION: these data provide opportunities for increments in diagnosis and prognosis of cases and decisions in the planning, evolution of treatment and contention phase, especially those patients with malocclusion associated with skeletal disharmonies.
