To contribute to the knowledge of Oomycetes of the Brazilian Atlantic rainforest, water and soil samples were collected, every three months, from June/2005 to June/2006, in the Parque Estadual da Serra da Cantareira, São Paulo State, Brazil. The samples were treated with the multiple baiting technique, in the laboratory and in the field, to isolate these organisms. Twentyone species were identified, two of Leptomitales and 19 of Saprolegniales, with 179 occurrences during the studied period.
