Vascular orbital pathology

RESUMO

Os autores apresentam 4 casos de hemangioma cavernoso e 5 casos de varizes orbitárias, fazem revisão da literatura e analisam a apresentação clínica. O estudo pré-operatório inclui RX simples de crânio, angiografia carotídea, venografia orbitária e tomografia computadorizada. O tratamento destas lesões é cirúrgico e o prognóstico é considerado satisfatório.

SUMMARY

The authors reported four cases of cavernous hemangioma and five cases of pathological veins in the orbit, review the literature and have done an analysis of the clinical features. The pre-operative study included plain skull X-Ray, cerebral angiography, orbital venography and, computerized tomography. The treatment of these lesions is surgical and the prognostic is good.
