Análise da pressão ocular, fundo de olho e acuidade visual em pacientes portadoras de migrânia

RESUMO

Foram estudados ambos os olhos de 27 pacientes portadoras de Migrânia (Enxaqueca), que eram seguidas no ambulatório de Cefaléias do HCRP-USP, os quais foram submetidos a uma curva tensional reduzida, além de exame da acuidade visual, fundo de olho e, quando necessários, campos de visão. Os resultados não mostraram diferença significativa entre os níveis tensionais oculares das pacientes normais e migranosas.

Os autores tiveram o propósito de analisar o estado basal da pressão ocular (Po) de pacientes portadoras de Migrânia, tendo em vista três fatos: a freqüência das manifestações oculares nestas pacientes, a escassa literatura que encontramos a respeito e, principalmente, a importância que poderia ter a Po na tentativa de contribuir para a elucidação da fisiopatologia da doença.

SUMMARY

The authors analysed both eyes of 27 patients with Migraine, referred from the Headache Clinic of the HCRP-USP, which were submitted to a reduced tensional curve, after visual acuity, fundus, and if necessary visual fields examination. Results did not demonstrate any significam tensional level diference between normal and migrainous patients. The aim of this study was to analyse the basal conditions of the ocular pressure of migrainous patients, considering the facts: the frequency of ocular disturbances in these patients, the sparse data regarding this subject found in the literature, and mainly the role could this information have in the elucidation of the physiopathology of Migraine.
