Glaucoma neovascular associado a melanoma de coróide: relato de dois casos

Neovascular glaucoma associated to choroidal melanoma: description of 2 cases

RESUMO

Os autores descrevem dois casos de glaucoma neovascular acompanhados de melanoma de úvea e discutem a freqüência e a patogenia dessa associação. Ressaltam a importância da ultra-sonografia no diagnóstico de tumores intra-oculares, lembrando que, em de glaucoma neovascular onde exista opacidade de meios, a realização desse exame complementar é obrigatória.

SUMMARY

The authors describe 2 cases of neovascular glaucoma caused by of the uvea discuss the frequency and pathogenesis of this association. They emphasize the importance of ultrassonography in the diagnosis of intraocular tumors, suggesting that this exam is mandatory in cases of neovascular glaucoma with opaque media.
