RESUMO

São relatados dois casos de síndrome traumática central aguda da medula cervical, sendo comentados os aspectos clínicos e fisiopatogênicos e ressaltado o valor prático do seu conhecimento.

SUMMARY

Two cases of the syndrome of acute central cervical spinal cord injury are reported; its clinical and physiopathogenic features are commented and the practical value of its knowledge is emphasized.
