Num estudo efetuado em 40 presidiárias, o autor verificou que a incidência da síndrome de tensão pré-menstrual foi de 35%. Entre os crimes de distribuição conhecida, 40% foram cometidos na primeira semana anterior ao fluxo menstrual; nessa época ocorreram 45,4% dos furtos, 47,3% dos crimes de violência e 53,8% dos homicídios. Durante o fluxo menstrual foram praticados 20% dos crimes. Verificou, ainda, que a ausência da síndrome de tensão pré-menstrual não implica em menor possibilidade da ocorrência de crimes na semana anterior ao fluxo menstrual.

Studing 40 women of one prison, the author found that the incidence of premenstrual tension syndrome was 35% of the group. Among the crimes of known distribution, 40% occurred in the first week before the menstrual flow. At that time, occurred 45.4% of all thefts, 47.3% of all violent crimes and 53.8% of the murders. Twenty per cent of the crimes occurred during the menstrual flow. It has been verified that the absence of premenstrual tension syndrome does not signifies less chances of occurring crimes during the week prior to the flow.

Num estudo efetuado em 40 presidiárias, o autor verificou que a incidência da síndrome de tensão pré-menstrual foi de 35%. ABSTRACT

Studing 40 women of one prison, the author found that the incidence of premenstrual tension syndrome was 35% of the group. Among the crimes of known distribution, 40% occurred in the first week before the menstrual flow. At that time, occurred 45.4% of all thefts, 47.3% of all violent crimes and 53.8% of the murders. Twenty per cent of the crimes occurred during the menstrual flow. It has been verified that the absence of premenstrual tension syndrome does not signifies less chances of occurring crimes during the week prior to the flow.
