O propósito deste registro é relatar o caso de recém-nascido com hidrocefalia que, após derivação ventrículo-peritoneal passou a apresentar evolução próxima ao normal do ponto de vista neurológico, bem como visualização à tomografia computadorizada do manto cerebral não observado em exame feito anteriormente.

The purpose of this report is to analize the case of a newborn with hydrocephalus who, after a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt, began to develop close to normal from a neurological viewpoint, as well as showing computerized tomografical visualization of the cerebral mantle, not observed in earlier tests.

RESUMO

O propósito deste registro é relatar o caso de recém-nascido com hidrocefalia que, após derivação ventrículo-peritoneal passou a apresentar evolução próxima ao normal do ponto de vista neurológico, bem como visualização à tomografia computadorizada do manto cerebral não observado em exame feito anteriormente.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this report is to analize the case of a newborn with hydrocephalus who, after a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt, began to develop close to normal from a neurological viewpoint, as well as showing computerized tomografical visualization of the cerebral mantle, not observed in earlier tests.
