SUMMARY
Symptoms of copper deficiency on orange trees are described and illustrated for the fruits. Results of leaf analysis of Pêra orange (Citrus sinensis Osb.) budded on six different rootstocks are also presented. Composite samples of spring-cycle leaves from the trees were collected. The symptoms have been observed on plants growing in a sand soil near Votuporanga, State of S. Paulo, only on trees budded on Lima da Pérsia (Citrus aurantifolia Swing.) rootstocks. From the data there is evidence that the critical level of copper associated with deficiency is between .00028 and .00067% in pêra orange-leaves. The data also showed that the copper content of leaves is affected by rootstock.
