SUMMARY
The results obtained with application of sucrose and honey solutions to carrot (Daucus carota, L.) 14 days after germination, are reported ' The experiment was conducted in a glacial formation soil, at the Experimental Station "Theodureto de Camargo'' - Campinas.
The following four treatments were compared: (1) check; (2) sucrose solution at 1 g/litre concentration (5 1/m2); (3) sucrose solution at 10 g/litre concentration (5 1/m2); (4) honey solution at 10 cc/litre concentration (5 1/m2). All plots received the same organic and mineral fertilization before sowing.
All the solutions increase yield in relation to check, but the better treatment was the sucrose solution at its.higher concentration. Therefore, the differences observed were not statistically significant, at 5% level of probability.
