Productivity of rubber tree seedlings in the northern coast of São Paulo state

SUMMARY
The productivity of rubber tree seedlings was evaluated by the Hamaker-Morris-Mann test in a commercial plantation located at 23°38' S in the Northern coast of São Paulo State.
The vegetative development was considered good but the average rubber production was rather low.
The author thinks it is possible to establish, in that region, plantations of rubber Hevea and atributes the insatisfactory production to the poor quality of the vegetable material planted.
