Summary
A list is presented of the geographical distribution, by State, of the twelve species of triatomine bugs (Hemiptera, Reduviidae) refered to in the litterature for the Amazon Region of Brazil. Detailed data are given on the six species captured by the Author and other members of the Staff of I.N.P.A. in the State of Amazonas and Territory of Roraima: Panstrongylus geniculatus, P. lignarius, Rhodnius pictipes, R. brethesi, R. robustus and Triatoma maculata. Specimens of the first three species were found naturally infected with flagellates similar to Trypanosoma cruzi.
