Incidência de Crinula caliciiformis Fries na Região Amazônica

Summary

In this paper the author records the incidence of the fungus Crinula caliciformis Fr. on various plants of the Amazons region for the first time. This incidence was observed in the States of Para and Amazonas (Brazil). The fungus C. caliciiformis Fr. is characterized by rigid, black and calix shaped tall fructifications — synnemata. It does not penetrate living tissues but colonizes on — living bark or cork of branches and trunks. Six plants are listed as new hosts of this funguns: Bauhinia acreana Harms, Gmelina arbórea Roxb. Inga cinnamomea Spr., Citrus grandis Osbeck, Jacaranda copaia (Aubl.) D. Don and Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.
