Morfometria e estatística multivariada em biologia evolutiva

Resumo

Recent analytical and conceptual developments in multivariate statistics and morphometrics are reviewed. These developments include a modification of principal components analysis, the shear, and the truss networks, a geometric protocol for the generation of variables for statistical analyses. The implications of these techniques for studies of organismal evolution are discussed.

ABSTRACT

Recent analytical and conceptual developments in multivariate statistics and morphometrics are reviewed. These developments include a modification of principal components analysis, the shear, and the truss networks, a geometric protocol for the generation of variables for statistical analyses. The implications of these techniques for studies of organismal evolution are discussed.
