Condicionamento osmótico de sementes de hortaliças: potencialidades e implicações.

Osmoconditioning of vegetable seeds: potentials and effects.

Resumos

Rapid and uniform emergence are two important aspects to achieve good stand establishment and to increase yield and quality of harvested crops. Seed priming has become a common seed treatment to enhance stand establishment, especially in vegetable and flower seeds. Aspects related to seed priming and its effects and possibilities for future research and development are discussed.

seed priming; seed enhancements; stand establishment; seed quality; germination.
