RESUMO

Divulga os tipos nomenclaturais da família Leguminosae que estão depositados no Herbário da Universidade Estadual de Campinas. E ilustrado com fotografias dos espécimens citados.

ABSTRACT

The type specimens of Leguminosae deposited in the "Universidade Estadual de Campinas" herbarium are listed. Photographs of these specimens are include.

Introdução

Com este trabalho inicia-se a divulgação do levantamento dos tipos nomenclaturais depositados no Herbário UEC, escolhendo-se como primeira a família Leguminosae, por ser uma das mais representadas no acervo de tipos. Os tipos foram relacionados observando-se os seguintes critérios:

- citação da espécie, do autor e da obra original;

- citação da sigla do Herbário, seguida do número do exemplar;

- classificação do tipo e citação da sigla do Herbário onde está depositado o holótipo;

- transcrição das diversas etiquetas encontradas nas exsicatas;

- fotografias dos tipos.

By Rio Cumbuca ca. 3km S of Mucugé, near site of small dam on road to Cascavel. Riverside, damp sandy soil, sandstone rocks and partly burnt-over vegetation. Alt. ca. 850m. Approx. 41º21'W, 13º01'S.

Erect stemmed shrub to ca. 2m. Leaves rather rigid. Flowers with white stamens fading to pink. Pods erect, yellow-brown. 4th/Febr./1974. R.M. Harley et al. 15937.

22km S of Andarai on road to Mucugé. Open area of peaty marsh. Wetter areas predomiantly sedge, grasses and other Monocots., on white sand and peat, with some small shrubs with scattered rocky buffs with scrub and small trees. Approx. 41º20'W, 12º57'S. Alt. ca. 1000m. Rather erect shrub to ca. 1.75m. Leaves rather pale green. Anthers white turning bright pink. 16 February 1977. R.M. Harley 18745.

Ca. 1km S of small town of Mato Grosso on the road to Vila do Rio de Contas. Sandstone rock outcrops with small area of disturbed marsh at base, and nearby river with lush vegetation along rocky margins. Approx. 41º49'W, 13º29'S. Alt. ca. 1200m.

Shrub to 60cm with spreading stems. Flowers bright red. 24/3/77. R.M. Harley et al. 19980.

19.5km of the town of Morro do Chapeu on the BA 052 road to Mundo Novo, by the Rio Ferro Doido, with wather worn horizontally bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh, exposed rock & waterfall. Vegeta tion: open scrub to closed, low woodland in the drier areas. Alt. ca. 900m. Approx. 41º02'W, 11º38'S. Shrub to 2m. Leaves with coriaceus leaflets dark glossy green above, pale green beneath. Calyx pale flesh. Corola pale flesh. Stamens pale pink. 2nd/Mar/1977. R.M. Harley 19227.

16km NW of Lagoinha (which is 5.5km SW of Delfino) on side road to Minas do Mimoso. Small stream with marsh on white sand and surrounding cerrado on sandstone rock exposures. Alt. 950-1000m. Approx. 41º20'W, 10º22'S. Shrub to 1m. Leaves bright green above, paler beneath, rigid. Stamen filaments white at first, aging to deep pink. 8th/March/74. R.M. Harley 16971.

About 12km WNW from Vila do Rio de Contas along road to the Pico das Almas. On white quartzitic soil on rocky slopes with scrubby vegetation. Alt. ca. 1200m. Approx. 41º53'W, 13º33'S.

Shrub 2m with spreading scarcely-branched stems, several arising from same base. Stems silvery-grey. Stipules grey. Petioles and rhachis whitish-grey. Petiolules reddish-tinged. Leaflets dark glossy green above, paler beneath. Peduncules with white spreading hairs. Calyces and corolla whitish-grey. Anthers pink, filaments shining white, becoming pink when old. Pods whitish-grey. 21 March 1977. R.M. Harley 19822.

Lagoa Itaparica 10km W of the São Inácio-Xique-Xique road at the turning 13.1km N of São Inácio. Alt. 300-400m. 42º46'W, 11º01'S.

This plant growing in open sandy areas. Subshrub with woody contorted swollen base and wiry ascending branches. Leaflets dark bluish-green above, glaucous beneath, slightly fleshy. Sepals greenish-yellow. Petals dark reddish-orange, with yellow margin, very showy. Stamens with yellow-green anthers. Pods green tinged red. 26 February 1977. R.M. Haiiey 19123.

Near Maraú 20km N from road junction from Maraú to Ponta do Mutá. Mixed restinga vegetation on sand. Alt. 0-50m. Approx. 38º57'W, 13º57'S.

Very showy shrub to 2.5m, branched at the base, with obliquely ascending branches. Leaves with coriaceus leaflets, dark green above, paler beneath. Every branch loaded with flowers, mainly on the old bare parts in fascicles. Sepals bright buttercup-yellow. Stamens yellow. 03/02/1977. R.M. Hariey 18535.

ca. 8km S W of Itacaré along side road South from main Itacaré-Ubaitaba road, South of the mouth of the Rio de Contas. High coastal evergreen forest with small river on heavy loam. Alt. 0-100m. Approx. 39º03'W, 14º20'S. Tree to 10m.

Diameter of trunk: 10cm eith light grey bark with shallow longitudinal fissures. Leaves rather bright green, slightly coriaceous. Flowers borne on brittle pedun cles clustering among the leaves & stems. Buds cream, ovoid. Petals white, tinged pink near tips. Anthers cream with white hairs along margin. Fruit not seen. Flowers perfumed. 31/1/77. R.M. Harley et al. 18426.
