Editorial
We are realizing the third issue of volume 17 of the Brazilian Journal of Pharmacognosy (BJP). This time we publish 21 articles, 09 of them in English and 12 in Portuguese. We take the opportunity to inform our readers about a few important news regarding our periodical. The Brazilian Society of Pharmacognosy wants to express its sincere sadness for the death of Prof. Maria Elizabeth de Oliveira Michiles. Prof. Michiles devoted her entire life to the development of fitotherapy in Brazil.
From now on the BJP will have two ISSN numbers. One of them (0102-695X) is already known and belongs to the printed version of the periodical. The new one 1982-528X belongs to the on-line version.
We are now indexed by a new important scientific database. We are part of the important collection of titles covered by LILACS - Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde. It is another victory of our jounal to be indexed in such important collection, what makes BJP more visible to the Brazilian and international Pharmacognostic community.
