INCREASING THE VISIBILITY OF NURSING KNOWLEDGE PRODUCED IN BRAZIL AND LATIN AMERICA

The Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem follows an editorial policy guided by the publication of original scientific manuscripts, reviews, experience accounts, summaries of Master theses and Doctoral dissertations related to the basis of nursing activity through scientific research aiming at legitimating the profession.
Considering the need to increase the visibility of the scientific knowledge produced by Brazilian and Latin-American Nursing to the international scientific community, the Publishing Committee is making some technical arrangements in order to meet criteria established by international conventions on editorship.
Accordingly, the journal will also accept manuscripts written in English, will publish six issues per year, will include some renowned international experts in the Editorial Board and will adopt the Vancouver style to standardize the bibliographical references.
For the purpose of standardizing the responsibility agreement and copyright transfer agreement regarding the manuscripts submitted to the journal, authors will receive a form added to the guidelines for contributors.
New information were included in the back cover about the data bases in which the journal is indexed, website and e.mail.
In sum, the Committee is striving to index the Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem in new data bases and continuing the search to increase the visibility of Nursing scientific knowledge produced in Brazil and Latin America.
