EDITORIAL

With great satisfaction, I deliver the fourth volume and first of the CEFAC Journal – expanded with 35 scientific contributions, including 29 original articles, 1 literature review article, 3 case reports and 2 opinion texts in the fields of audiology, language, public health , orofacial motricity and voice.

As for the original articles, Bisi, Coifman, Ferreira and Mitre present the first contribution on the Correlação entre o perfil audiométrico, idade e o tempo de atividade em motoristas de ônibus (Correlation among the audiometric profile, age and activity time in bus drivers). The second contribution is from Taguchi, Alves, Gois and Oliveira, on the Valor clínico dos nistagmos posicional e de posicionamento no diagnóstico vestibular de idosos: estudo comparativo (Clinical value of nystagmus positioning and positioning in vestibular diagnosis in the elderly: a comparative study). Mello, Silva, Ribeiro, Moraes and Della-Rosa write the third contribution on the Índice de retorno ao reteste em um programa de triagem auditiva neonatal (Index of return to retest in a neonatal hearing screening program). The fourth contribution is from Ribas, Cabral, Gonçalves, Gonçalves and Kozlowski on the Programa de triagem auditiva neonatal: influência do tempo de vida dos recém-nascidos na pesquisa das emissões otoacústicas transientes (Neonatal hearing screening program: influence of the newborns' lifetime in the study of otoacoustic emissions).

Moda, Mantello, Reis, Isaac, Oliveira and Hypolito present the fifth contribution on the Avaliação da satisfação do usuário de aparelho de amplificação sonora (Evaluation of the hearing aid user's satisfaction). Teste de percepção da fala HINT Brasil em grupos de sujeitos expostos e não expostos a ruído ocupacional (Test of speech perception HINT Brazil in groups of subjects exposed and not exposed to occupational noise) is the sixth contribution written by Arieta, Couto and Costa. Ramos, Almeida and Lewis present the seventh contribution on Correlação dos achados do PEATE-FE e da Avaliação comportamental em crianças com deficiência auditiva (Correlation of the findings from the ABR-FE and behavioral evaluation of children with hearing impairment). The theme Proposta de um protocolo de avaliação da atividade elétrica dos músculos masseter e supra-hioideos em recém-nascidos pré-termo durante a alimentação (Proposal of a protocol for assessing the electrical activity of the masseter and supra-hyoid muscles in preterm newborns during feeding) is the eighth contribution by Raposo and Silva.

The study entitled Análise de variáveis utilizadas para a classificação da gravidade do desvio fonológico (Analysis of variables used to classify the severity of phonological disorder) is the ninth contribution from the authors Brancalioni, Magnago and Keske-Soares. Pontes, Diniz and Martins-Rei present the tenth contribution entitled Parâmetros e estratégias de leitura e escrita utilizados por crianças de escolas pública e privada (Parameters and reading and writing strategies used by children from public and private schools).

The eleventh contribution Rosal, Cordeiro and Queiroga on Consciência fonológica e o desenvolvimento do sistema fonológico em crianças de escolas públicas e privadas (Phonological awareness and phonological development in children from public and private schools). The twelfth contribution Crestani, Mattana, Moraes and Souza discusses the Fatores Socioeconômicos, Obstétricos, Demográficos e Psicossociais como Risco ao Desenvolvimento Infantil (Socioeconomic, Obstetric, Demographic and Psychosocial Factors as Risk to the Child Development). Frequência e tipologia das disfluências: análise comparativa entre taquifêmicos e gagos (Frequency and typology of disfluencies: comparative analysis between clutterers and stutterers) is the thirteenth contribution by Souza, Paschoalino, Cardoso and Oliveira. The study entitled A lateralidade cruzada e o desempenho da leitura e escrita em escolares (The cross-laterality and performance of reading and writing in students) is the fourteenth contribution from Neto, Xavier, Santos, Amaro, Florêncio and Poeta. Von Keyserlingk, Carrasco and Carrasco present the fifteenth study on Teorías subjetivas de profesionales de Escuelas de Lenguaje en Chile sobre el Trastorno Específico del Lenguaje (Subjective theories of professionals from Language Schools in Chile on Specific Language Disorder).

The sixteenth contribution from Fonseca and Nunes is on the Conhecimento sobre a gagueira na cidade de Salvador (knowledge about stuttering in the city of Salvador). The study entitled Postura craniocervical, posição da mandíbula e do osso hióide e atividade dos músculos supra e infra-hióideos durante a deglutição de diferentes consistências alimentares (Craniocervical posture, mandible and hyoid bone position and supra and infra-hyoid muscle activity during swallowing of different food consistencies) is the seventeenth contribution authored by Trevisan, Weber, Ries and Corrêa. Pastana, Cantisano, Mariano and Bianchini present the eighteenth oral contribution entitled Queixas orais e verificação da fala de indivíduos com Síndrome da ardência bucal (Oral complaints and speech verification of individuals with burning mouth syndrome).

The authors Berlese, Copetti, Weimmann, Ferreira and Haefffner present the nineteenth contribution on Características miofuncionais eletromiográficas de crianças e adolescentes obesos (Miofunctional electromyographic characteristics of obese children and adolescents). The twentieth contribution is about the Influência do contexto silábico da palavra no julgamento perceptivo-auditivo do ceceio produzido por pré-escolares (Influence of the syllable word context in the auditory-perceptual judgment of the lisp produced by preschool children) authored by Marino, Santos, Fabron, Dutka, Gurgel and Berti. The theme Análise da qualidade de vida dos pacientes com câncer de laringe na região sudeste do Brasil (Analysis of the quality of life of patients with larynx cancer in the Brazilian southeast) authored by Maciel, Leite, Soares and Campos is the twenty first contribution.

The twenty second contribution is on Percepção de estudantes da área da saúde sobre comunidades rurais quilombolas no norte de Minas Gerais – Brasil (Students' perception of the health of rural quilombolas communities in the northern Minas Gerais – Brazil) by authors Macedo, Rabelo, Silveira, Souza, Lima, Pereira, Moura, Oliveira, Siqueira Jr, Marques, Leão, Freitas and Caldeira. The article Gestão em saúde: as representações de estudantes da graduação (Health management: representations of graduate students) by the authors Arakawa, Sitta, Caldana and Machado is the twenty-third contribution. Pizolato, Mialhe, Karine Cortellazzi, Ambrosano, Rehder and Pereira present the twenty-fourth contribution entitled Avaliação dos fatores de risco para distúrbios de voz em professores e análise acústica vocal como instrumento de avaliação epidemiológica (Evaluation of risk factors for voice disorders in teachers and acoustic voice analysis as a tool for epidemiological assessment).

Condições socioeconômicas estão associadas ao overbite e overjet? Uma avaliação utilizando fotografias digitais (Are socioeconomic conditions associated with the overbite and overjet? An evaluation using digital photographs) is the twenty-fifth contribution by authors Cutrim, Wada, Lima, Pinho, Azevedo, Martins, Leal and Thomaz. The twenty-sixth contribution is from Xavier, Santos and Silva entitled Saúde vocal do professor: intervenção fonoaudiológica na atenção primária à saúde (Teacher's Vocal Health: phonoaudiological intervention in primary health care). Aquino and Teles present the theme Autopercepção vocal de coristas profissionais (Vocal Self-perception of chorus professionals) as the twenty-seventh contribution. The twentyeighth contribution is on Pressão sonora e tempo máximo de fonação após a técnica de Finger Kazoo (The sound pressure and maximum phonation time after the Finger Kazoo technique) authored by Frigo, Christmann and Cielo. A interferência dos fatores de risco e emocionais na voz de professores com e sem queixas vocais (The interference of the risk and emotional factors in the teachers' voice with and without voice complaints) is the twenty-ninth contribution from the authors Costa, Lopes, Silva, Cunha, Ameida and Almeida.

The literature review article entitled Levantamento de protocolos e métodos diagnósticos do transtorno autista aplicáveis na clínica fonoaudiológica (Survey protocols and diagnostic methods of the autistic disorder in phonoaudiological clinic) written by Gonçalves and Pedruzzi is the thirtieth contribution. The thirty-first contribution is Melo, Ramalho, Perillo and Rodrigues is a case report on Terapia fonoaudiológica intensiva e fissura de palato (Intensive Phonoaudiological Therapy and cleft palate). Silva, Guedes and Cunha present the thirty second contribution entitled Aspectos psicossociais associados à paralisia facial periférica na fase sequelar: estudo de caso clínico (Psychosocial aspects associated with facial paralysis in latent phase: case study). The Thirty-third contribution is authored by Leite, Francisco, Duarte, Garcia and Bizinoto on Potencial evocado auditivo de tronco encefálico no prognóstico do coma superficial (Evoked auditory potential from the brainstem in the prognosis of superficial coma). Spinardi-Panes, Lopes-Herrera and Maximino present the thirty-fourth contribution entitled Aspectos éticos e legais na prática da Telessaúde em Fonoaudiologia (Ethical aspects and legal practice of Telehealth in Phonoaudiology). The thirty-fifth and final contribution is authored by Piccirilli and Freire on Psicanálise e Alfabetização: um novo olhar (Psychoanalysis and Literacy: a new look).

After finalizing this issue of the CEFAC Journal, I would like to thank the authors and partners for the readiness and preparedness, whether in analysis or submitting manuscripts versed in both languages for the beginning of the expansion of the number of articles published by this Journal. Thank you for believing in this journal and in the work of the editorial staff.

To conclude this editorial, I would like to use this scientific space to honor Prof. Dr. Maria Cecilia Bevilacqua who recently passed away leaving a personal, professional and scientific legacy for the Speech Language Pathology. Woman of optimism, strength and courage who knew how to employ her knowledge of personal and professional life to help build a Brazilian Speech Language Pathology based on science and technology. On the behalf of the Brazilian Speech Language Pathology I thank all the contributions!

May every advance in Speech Language Pathology in science, research and clinical practice, honor in a simple way the woman who was and is one of the pillars of the National Speech Language Pathology!
