EDITORIAL NOTE

The November issue of the Brazilian Journal of Biology is composed of separately bound sections: 4A and 4B. The first was made possible by a partnership between FAPESP, which is largely responsible for its funding, and the Association of the Brazilian Journal of Biology.

Most of the papers in 4A are of authors from the State of São Paulo. The remaining papers in this issue appear through the support of ASRBB.

The Editorial Board reminds its readers and contributors that one of its priorities is prompt publication of accepted papers, facilitated this month by the welcome addition of section 4A.
