Braz. J. Biol. v.64 n.2 São Carlos mayo 2004
In 2005 the Brazilian Journal of Biology will complete 65 years of continuous publication. Our record requires us to find ways to improve the publication towards better quality based always on efficient peer review system and a rigorous editorial policy.
The achievements of the Brazilian Journal of Biology will be celebrated by the launching of a special number, of vol. 65 with contribution of members of the Advisory and Editorial Boards and eminent biologists.
This special number will be dedicated to the memory of Dr. Carlos A.R.M. Araújo-Lima a outstanding member of the Editorial Board and an excellent scientist that contributed so much with the Brazilian Journal of Biology and unfortunately passed away in early 2004.
