It is with great satisfaction that we inform all readers and collaborators that JISTEM became part of the SciELO scientific journal collection in November, 2010. Volume 7 is already available and soon all JISTEM´s previous editions, beginning in 2004, will be added to the SciELO website.

We would like to remind you that JISTEM is an international journal. Currently, JISTEM is included in international databases like: PROQUEST, Gale Infotrac, Dialnet, Ebsco, CLASE and DOAJ, among others, in addition to being catalogued in a number of libraries in Europe and in the United States. Accordingly, as of 2011, JISTEM will publish, primarily, articles in English. Its purpose is to increase the exposure of previously published research, as well as of authors from the international scenario, since JISTEM is already inserted into international databases. In order to do so, we contacted authors that had submitted their papers before this new proposal was made, and we had full agreement on their part, including authors in this edition, where we already feature 3 articles from Brazilian authors in English. We would like to mention that the articles can be submitted in Portuguese and their translated version submitted at the end of the process.

Also, we would like to inform that the 8th CONTECSI - International Conference on Information Systems and Technology Management will be held between June 1st and 3rd , 2011 at FEA USP São Paulo, Brazil and the call for papers is open until January 20th, 2011. (www.tecsi.fea.usp.br/eventos/contecsi)

In this edition, we feature two important articles, one of them is "Questioning and discursive rationalization of productive processes in organizations". This article earned honorable recognition and was selected among the top three papers at the 7th CONTECSI. Since it is A B1 Qualis, and for participating in Fast Track, created by ENANPAD, JISTEM received some of the best papers presented at the event. We are pleased to also publish in this edition the second article, "Information and Communication Technologies to Deliver Financial Services for the Low-Income Population: Correspondent Banking at Banco Lemon.". Despite being recommended by the congresses, both articles were submitted to JISTEM´s peer review for evaluation.

This last number from JISTEM´S volume 7 features eleven articles of great interest to the academic community.

We wish everyone good reading.
