ASPECTOS FITOSSOCIOLÓGICOS DOS “CAPÕES” NA REGIÃO DE CAROVI E TUPANTUBA, EM SANTIAGO - RS

RESUMO

O trabalho descreve a composição florística e estrutura fitossociológica da floresta em forma de “Capões” na região de Carovi e Tupantuba, no município de Santiago, Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A vegetação é relativamente heterogênea. Foram encontradas quarenta e uma espécies arbóreas, das quais a Styrax leprosus Hook. Et Arn., Lonchocarpus sp., Lithraea molleoides Engl., Myrciaria rivularis Camb. e Myrcia bombycina (Berg) Kiaersk., são as mais características e importantes da associação. Encontrou-se também, abundante regeneração natural.

ABSTRACT

The floristic composition and the phytosociological structure of a natural stand, grown in the region Cavori and Tupantuba, in the district of Santiago, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, are described here. The vegetation showed to be relatively heterogeneous. Fortyone arboreous species were found. Among them, Styrax leprosus Hook. et Arn., Lonchocarpus sp., Lithraea molleoides Engl., Myrciaria rivularis Camb. e Myrcia bombycina (Berg) Kiaersk., are the most characteristic and important ones of the association. The natural regeneration is also abundant.
