No presente trabalho foi estudada a produção de povoamentos de Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze., na região do Planalto Médio do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Observou-se que a espécie apresenta uma variação muito grande de produção, representada por 7 índices de sítio, com intervalo de 2 metros de altura, dominante na idade de referência de 40 anos. Foram ajustadas funções para estimar a altura, diâmetro, fator de forma e número de árvores por hectare, o que permitiu a confecção das tabelas de produção que retratam a situação do povoamento remanescente, desbaste e a produção total.

The present work studies the yield of Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze. stands in the region of Planalto Medio of Rio Grande do Sul state. It has been observed that the variety shows a great variation of production, represented by 7 site index with a spacing of 2 meters of height at the age reference of 40 years. Functions have been adjusted for estimating the height, diameter, form factor and number of trees per hectare. This analysis has allowed the confection of production tables which gives a clear idea of the situation of the remaining stands, thinning and total production.
