In the search for improvements in the general quality of the Brazilian Journal of Food Technology - BJFT, changes in the format, publication process and contents were gradually inserted over the last year. Thus we are closing 2011 with our site remodeled: easier to navigate, more attractive and with a more informative content. Some items stand out: the index of each number of the Brazilian Journal of Food Technology is more complete; the system used to evaluate articles submitted for publication was included in the "Instructions to Authors" and summarized in the "Editorial Policy"; the Editorial Body of our Journal covers a wider range; and at the end of this Edition there is a list of the names of all the reviewers who collaborated directly with the Journal in reviewing articles this year. Indeed we are inaugurating a new, better phase of BJFT.
Many of these improvements were based on the review emitted by the SciELO Collegiate, in response to the submission by the Brazilian Journal of Food Technology with a view to its inclusion in the SciELO Collection Brazil. We would like to manifest our immense gratitude publically, since the suggestions for improvement presented were of great value.
Thus with the indispensible collaboration of all those involved in the Editions of BJFT and with the focus on continued improvement, we are reaching new degrees of quality and visibility.
